To the Rescue!

Here's a "get well soon" card that I couldn't resist not making. The cardinal just called to me to make a card out of him.

Penning Hello

I always do seem to love making "thinking of you" cards. I am especially in love with the Sentimentals cartridge for the Cricut, hence why it keeps showing up.

Gratitude

A card make for someone that has truly been my sanity at work.

Asian themed Birthday Greeting

I seemed to have been in a birthday card making mood, so I produced quite a few of them.

Birthday Greeting

I made this card for no other reason to cut out the hand with quill. I think it turned out much better than I thought it would.

It's Your Day

I made this card for no reason at all. I just wanted to use the stamp on the inside and the cut on the outside.

Random Acts of Gratitude

This card turned out much more different than I had planned on it. I had thought it would be a simple thanks card but it turned out to be much more than that. I've found the world of pop-up dots and I find they add another dimension that I didn't have before. With this card I went with simple but it ended up being so much more.

Congratulations Grad!

Someone graduated from their Master's program, and of course I couldn't let that slide by. So instead I made this card here, using the school colors to outfit the graduation cap. I tried a couple things with this one but I liked how it turned out.

Wedding Bells

So this was another card that I made for one of my mom's co-workers who got married May 14th. Jodi has sort of blonde/brown here so I colored in our brides hair to match as best I could. Wade I hear is a handsome fellow with salt -n-pepper gray hair but he ended up with black for my purposes. Sorry Wade! Nothing against you.

I absolutely love this card, I had half a mind not to give it away but I did in the end. I have a photo of it to remember it by.

Mother's Day Cards Continued

Here is the card that I made for my own mother. She seemed tickled pink with the cards theme.

Happy Mother's Day!

First Paid Commission Card

This is my first commission card that I have made. In most cases I just make them for fun and for special occasions. I was more than okay with making a card for the person. Heck I'm getting paid. So it is a graduation card, I'm hopeful that the receiver will like it. I did a steampunk theme'd card. It's for a girl that is graduating from high school and she seemed to like that sort of thing.

Wedding Cards

So a co-worker of my mom's is getting married this weekend, and so I was asked to make a card for the special couple. It seemed that once I started I wanted to make a card for the bride more than for the couple, that might have been because I have the Wedding solutions cartridge that makes it a bit easier to work with. So I made this card for Jodi (the bride) and used my wedding solutions cartridge.

I've found that vellum does the most amazing thing when you print on it. Inkjets are a good thing it seems. I'm just loving that, so I used vellum on the front of the card with a font that I found online and then embossed it. The inside was just simple and to the point.

DCWV Caio Bella Paper Stack

Mother's Day Cards Part 3

Yet another card.

Items Used:

Everyday Popup Cards Cartridge
Beyond Birthdays Cartridge
SEI Paper Pack "Charlemagne"

Martha Stewart Glitter

Mother's Day Cards Part 2

This is probably the most favorite card that I have made for this Mother's Day, I used 'Beyond Birthdays' cartridge for the word 'Mum", Paper Lace cartridge for the lace design done to green. The dress form is from Tim Holtz's collection called Haberdashery CMS 105. On the inside, is two types of ribbon, along with my printer for the words on the inside. The paper I used is mostly SEI, as that is one of my favorite 'paper people '. There was one type of paper that I used, that I got at M's and low and behold when I decided I wanted to use more of it, they didn't have it. Of course! It's the G.C.D Chianti Collection, I used the metallic side of the paper for the silver on the card.

Mother's Day

So tomorrow is the big day, Mother's Day! And to all those mothers out there, I appreciate you. One day just doesn't seem enough for the amazing person that is 'mom'. Here is the card that I made for my sister. She is an elegant and sophisticated mother and sister.

For this card, I used one of my newest cartridge, Sentimentals. I've wanted this cartridge for quite a long time, and I was lucky that it was on clearance at M's for 24.99. I thought that was a good deal.
