Thank You Notecard

I made this card for a pair gals over in the Autism group that sent an e-mail Get Well Soon card. It was one of the nicest things that people have done for me since my first encounter with my foot and it having mad issues. Speaking of which, the same hole that is there is leaking but is crusty and looking way better. I'm managing it with the ointment that the doc prescribed to help with the healing, which is hopefuly working. Still have to work on those thank you notes for some others as well, but I've been busy with the nearly 24 hours of NCAA College basketball going on. March Madness has gotten into me and I barely have time to focus on cards. Like this one, I love the font I used, but sadly I think I should have maybe picked a different font, not sure.

Oh and I did sew the sew on the card, hence the different look of the letters, which is why I think I should have used a different font; something that sort of goes with the look of the sewing of the word. Either way I have received feedback to it's intended receivers and they just LOVE the card. I'm always glad when someone appreciates the work I do. Makes a sister proud to have such a "crafty" hobby.

You're the Bee's Knees Thank You Note

Before:

So here's my latest Thank You notecard, this one is for the nurse at my Podiatrist office. She seemed quite unhappy when Lupe, the receptionist, got a thank you note but she didn't. I told her that she would be getting on soon enough, and well here it is! I took one look at the bee and KNEW that this would be the perfect card for her. Kind of dorky, but then again I have my dorky moments more often then not.

It started with the bee cut file that I had for my Silhouette SD, I had a cute cut file with the saying "You're the Bee's Knees" but there seemed to be something wrong with the cute file and was freezing up the computer, so instead I used my own fonts from my font collection and made my own saying, to which I must say looks sooooo much better than what they had. I then dry embossed the background paper, which is purple with white cord center (photo kind of hard to tell the color) with a Cuttlebug embossing folder, hence the white hints on it. Hopefully purple is a color you like Maria because it was a hard to pick a color to coordinate with the yellow of the bee. Then I took a white pen to mark out the edges with and that seemed to complete it. I'm still debating on the ribbon at the top, so there may be another photo with a ribbon on it. You know what? I'm thinking I'm going to do the ribbon.

Thank You

I made this Thank You card for one of the women at my podiatrist office, she has been so helpful with all that has been going on. My work had been a bear about forms being turned in and she has been so accomodating at getting me the forms and such that I need for my work.

Thank you Lupe!!!

Diva Card

I made this card for my supervisor after her attempts at saying her first card was "too small". So I made this card for her, which is 5x7, much larger than her first card, which was a birthday card. This is a just because card. I took the butterfly idea and sort of ran with it once I had the quote.

Get Well Soon Ma!

Here is the "Get Well Soon" card that I made for the mother figure. She has been hinted at me for days about a get well soon card from me, so I spent the better part of yesterday (3/1/2012) working on this card. I think it turned out much more awe inspiring than what I had originally planned. I had done something similiar for someone at work, but the larger butterflies seem to really make the card pop, I'm going to try again this time on a smaller card and see if I can get the same effect going.

Building my inventory for that craft show I'm going to go to one day soon, and see if I can peddle my wears there.

On a side note, I am thinking of selling my Cricut and carts since I rarely if at all use it any more. That will require much more thought but it is tumbling in the back of my mind. I know Julie would love some of the carts that I have and the only down side is that I have them linked to my Gypsy. Guess I should have held off on that. Oh well, I'll figure something out if I do decide to sell it.

More......Hello/Goodbye

Here is the latest card that I made with the airplane and the saying "On the wings of goodbye is the flight of hello."
