Steampunk or bust, baby!

Ta-da-da-da-da-daaaaaa!
I'm so proud of this one.  I've never very good with the altered art area of stuff but I think I did a pretty bang up job of things on this card.

On this card I used the Sily to cut sone gears, okay a lot of gears and then I dry embossed clocks on the background paper then I used G45 Steampunk Debutaunte paper for the large image in the back.  I used my Thanks stamps, I'm leaning the secrets, and heat embossed Thanks at the bottom.  I added the gears by using brads and covered with white paper to write on.

Ta-Da!  Not too tough but time consuming, but it was for a good cause.  Karen rocks!

Big Play Date......

So I have been on a card making jag, a first for me for sure since you know how long it takes me to make just one.  I guess that Stamp Convention did a world of good, since now I am card/notecard making machine.  Just give me a challenge.....okay maybe not that good but I'm almost feeling that good about what I'm making.  Here is a card and two notecards, the butterflies are the card and the other two are notecards to say thanks to the great team over at Target Pharmacy.....Maybe I should make a Target themed card for the rest of the group.  I made one for each Pharmacist and Karen *waves HI*, her's is featured in another posting.  Of course.  Not!  But it is in another posting since it was what started the revolution along with the Stamp Convention.

Jules told me there is one in Jan, now I can't wait for that one to come.  That and the new CHA stuff that will be shipping soon.  Yay!  For G45 latest paper lines!  Among other things.

Let me cut this quick, or I'll be rambling on forever and I have more posts to do.

For the butterfly card (left) I heat embossed and then used my memento's markers and colored it in with constrasting colors.  Turned out nice I think it did.  Then I did it like a science project......No. and the Oder or whatever.  Mounted it and went from there.  I of course had to use a font on it, so I spent time doing that....and people think this is easy.  Pfsth!  Color, ribbon or to not ribbon.....the whole nine.

For the first (center) thank you notecard I used nothing but the circut on it, the rest was had cut and done, except for the "Thank You" that came from M's.  Brads from the Scrapper's Convention and a little bit of silver goes a long way.  And of course to ribbon or thread or not ribbon or thread.

The second notecard (right) I went with a Steampunk sort of feel.  Feeling able, I cut a strip of paper from from G45 paper I had called Le Cirque, so I went with it.  Got come cardstock from M's for the background. Used the strip as the sides and then used my ever trusty hats that I seem to be getting a lot of use out of now.  This was just the last one I used the stamps on that I got from the con.  Added wings and some gears cut from the Silly and ta-da!  Thank you notecard.  I finally got smart about the words on the back and typed it out so they could actually read my horrid handwrtiting.  Not been the best since after the seizure but it takes some time to get that working at 100% again.

That is all for these, next!  Steampunk!

Passing of youth Quote

This one card took two days to make and a sleeepless night to finish off.  I cut out gears from my Sillhouette, the paper is Basic Grey and the butterfly was something that I bought at the Scrapbook con so it was just a matter of putt things together on that one.  The rest was of course color cooooord-it-nate the papers.

Ethinic Birthday Card

So I made this card with the thought of playing with the "new" used items I got at a garage sale the "local" Girl Scouts of America was having for scrapbook fools.  Me being one of them of course, but this time I got the mother figure to go with me to it.  I was a driveby in all actuallity but you know how that goes.  I know the earlier you get there the better selection of items.   I think I found a good load of things, so there is bound to more posting of cards as I continue to make more and more cards with the stuff I got.  Now........on to the dies I got.

90 Years of time......Birthday Card

I made this card for my Gram who turns 90, yoday!  1922 to 2012, who would have thought back then that they would make it this far in life?  I can only hope that I can be that age and still be as snappy as she is.  So Happy Birthday Gram and Harry Birthday to the US, a great place for freedome even if some don't think that.

This card was made using a layer system that I got from the GASC a few weeks back and had been unable to figureout how best to use the two cameos that from the pack along with some other smiliar things to match the style I had going on.  Now if only I could get going on the many other cards that I have to make, but instead I am sitting here loaing cards and cleaning out the clost to put the bug in it's final resting place, at least that is the hope after all.

Just saw Graphic's new line and I must say I MUST OWN this stack and all that comes with it.  Wonder of amazon had pro-orders for it?  Song Bird!  There are peacocks, need we say more?
